Dreams!

Dreamt about my Phoebe girl last night.
It was a very happy dream. She was playing outside with Sabrina and I called for both them to come back inside and when they did I pet, pet, pet my girls to praise them.
I can still almost FEEL the touch of her fur. (Her fur was different from my Sabrina. Phoebe's was much thicker.)

It was a wonderful dream. :o)
Her tail was wagging as I was petting her and she had a smile on her face.

I'm so glad Phoebe came to visit me last night. I needed to see her. :o)

Something to look forward to!

Since coming back from my awesome adventure in California and going to the Quantum Leap convention I've been wanting something fun to look forward to. Now I have something. It's in just a couple of weeks, but that's a good thing, right?

I'll be seeing Legally Blonde - The Musical on May 9th at 2:00 p.m.

I'm looking forward to it. :o)

Sad news

To my friend and co-worker, Kim, who lost her beloved lab Reno over the weekend.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Reno was a beautiful boy and so lucky to have you in his life.

Volunteering

It's just like me to fall immediately for the least friendly cat at the Humane Society. I feel sorry for Ursula. She's been there since January. Unfriendly isn't the right word to describe her. She did warm up to me a little bit. She didn't want me to pet her, but let her head rest on my hand for nearly 5 minutes. I could have stayed there, but wanted to give some of the other cats some attention too.

I think Ursula just needs a home where she would be the only animal there. No kids either. She just wants her alone time and occasionally some human contact.

Beautiful weather

While doing my lunch time walk today I was thinking about how much my Phoebe girl would be lovin' this weather we are having right now. It's beautiful outside. I bet it's like this every day for her up in heaven. I hope so! :o)

Kitty cats!

My training at the Humane Society went very well last night.
I will be brushing, talking, holding, hanging out, giving fresh water and cleaning out the kitty cats litter boxes.

I met lots of sweeties last night.

I volunteer on Sundays from 11 - 2.

I can't wait!

Humane Society Training - TONIGHT!

I've been inpatiently waiting for this day to come, now that it's here, I'm a nervous wreck!
Tonight I go to the local Humane Society for my training on becoming a volunteer. I have no idea what to expect, so that is why I'm so nervous.
I am trained tonight and start volunteering on Sunday, April 19th.

Thinking about my girl

Yesterday was the first birthday I had without my Phoebe girl since 1997. I'm so grateful I have my Sabrina (though she was being a brat last night and was "mad" at me for having gone out to dinner so refused to come down to bed for awhile! I knew eventually she would.....)

This will be my first Easter without my Phoebe too. Below is a picture that I took of her last year:

BEWARE OF THE CORGI!

Yesterday my Mom was taking Sabrina for a walk around the neighborhood when a corgi came running towards them and tried to attack. Both my Mom and Sabrina are okay and a lady driving by stopped to help (and gave them a ride home!)

Mom called the police.
I'm so grateful both my Mom and Sabrina are okay!

Our Guardian Angel

On Tuesday March 24th we had some major flooding in my parent's basement storage room.
It was pure luck that my Mom happened to go down there to see it.
If she hadn't caught it in time the water, which during the worst of it was GUSHING out of floor like a faucet, would have flowed into the rest of the basement causing major damage.

That didn't happen because my Mom went down there just in time.
What are the odds that she would need to go into the storage room right at that moment?
It's as if someone TOLD her she needed to get down there ASAP.

I think it was my Phoebe girl.
She is our guardian angel.
Watching over us.
Isn't that a wonderful thought?
