Cat of the Week!
Meet Ginger!
I'm actually surprised she is still listed on the web site this evening. When I left the Humane Society at 2 this afternoon a couple was hanging out with her in the "get to know you room" and I thought for sure she would get adopted. I hung out with Ginger for almost 10 minutes. She sat on my lap and purred. She never tried to run away from me at all. She would be a perfect cat for someone who wants a snuggler to watch tv with.
There was also a kitten there named Phoebe. As of this evening she is no longer listed on the web site. I hope whoever adopted her will keep her named Phoebe. She was the cutest little peanut.

Fun Phoebe Facts!
I found this post I made back on Sept 30, 2008 and wanted to post it again. I've been thinking about my Phoebe girl a lot lately 'cuz her birthday is coming up soon.
*She loved hanging out with the kids more than anyone else, even me! :o)
*She would always steal my heating pad whenever I got up and walked away from it.
*I couldn’t say: “Let’s go to Henry’s House!” “Let’s go to the cabin!” Or “Let’s go for a walk!” unless I intended to do one of those things right away.
*She loved to dance.
*She scooted on her butt a lot (itchy butt!)
*After playing outside or going for a walk she would obsessively clean her feet.
*She kept her Grandma warm in the winter time by sitting with her in their chair
*She would kiss you like crazy if her tried to give her a zerbit.

Cat of the week!
Meet AutumnAutumn was my favorite cat this week. She's a big, loveable girl who wants lots of bellyrubs.
Three kittens were adopted in the 3 hours I was volunteering today, which is wonderful, but none of the older cats were even considered. It made me sad.

Sabrina loves her grandma more than me
Mom came home from the cabin yesterday.
Sabrina missed her A LOT.
Last night when I went down to bed, Sabrina did not follow. Instead she decided she wanted to sleep next to her Grandma!
She's never done this before (when I've been home). When I've been out of town she's slept next to my Mom, but this was the first time she's chosen my Mom over me!
Well!
It probably explains why I had a dream last night that I got another dog.
A Yorkie I named Teddy.

made my day
The patient I gave Phoebe's pet stroller to was in the clinic today. They told me that their pug starts to cry with joy when she is set into the stroller she is so happy to go on a walk. They also told me that when their other pug gets tired they put her in the stroller too and the two of them ride happily together.
It really makes my day that Phoebe's stroller is making two pugs very happy.
