quiet week
It's been a quiet week. I think that's a good thing! :o) Here is a shot I took of Sabrina last Sunday after she got back from getting groomed at Petco. She's GORGEOUS:

Humane Society Update
I just realized I didn't post my news about the outcome of the Humane Society calling on Thursday night.
I called the gal back on Friday morning.
She offered me a volunteer position. With the cats!
Okay, so I'm more of a dog person, but I don't dislike cats. I lived with Germaine's Cole & Brenna for a couple years and love them to pieces. (and miss them 'cuz they are far away now!!!)
I go to an orientation on March 12th and then will volunteer on Sundays from 11 -2.
I can't wait.

Humane Society update
The gal that interviewed me on Monday called today while I was at work to offer me a volunteer position.
I didn't get the message until after 6, when I got home from work. I called her immediately, but she was gone for the day. I left her a message. I will try again tomorrow.
I have no idea what she is gonna offer me, but I'm very excited!!!!

I had my interview with the Humane Society on Monday afternoon. I will find out within 10 days if they want me to become a volunteer. I don't know if my odds are very good. I think I was a bit nervous and fidgety. :o( I'll keep you posted. I really hope I'm asked to help.Monday, February 9, 2009
Blood test results
The vet just called regarding Sabrina's blood work that was drawn on Saturday.
EVERYTHING IS NORMAL!
I have a healthy, happy, wonderful, gorgeous poodle.

A perfect heart
Sabrina's vet appointment went well today.
They will call me with the blood test results, but I'm certain everything will be fine. :o)
She is doing GREAT. Her joints so no signs of arthritis. Her eyes are good. Her ears are a little irriated, so she does have some drops now, but nothing major. Her teeth are good (so phfffft on those who made fun of me for having Sabrina have a "spa day" at Petco just before Christmas. They brushed her teeth, so HA! It was worth it! To me it was worth it anyway 'cuz she smelled like cookies after that spa day.....)
The best news of all was what the vet said about Sabrina's heart.....that it is perfect. :o)
Even though I made her go to this appointment because I was freaking out about her upcoming birthday, the vet told me it is a good idea to have her checked out anyway because she is an older dog.

Weekend plans!
Tomorrow is Sabrina's physical exam. I know it will go well. She's super healthy. Still, I need to have this done for peace of mind.
Her 11th birthday is next month. I need the PROOF that my girl is healthy.
She's gonna be soooo mad at me that I'm making her get a physical. :o(

Not worthy?
Should I have lied on my application to volunteer at the Humane Society and said that I was NOT allergic to animals?
I thought being honest about that would be okay, especially since I wrote that I am on medication.
It's been two weeks.
I've not heard ANYTHING from them.
I sent an e-mail a little bit ago to see if they got my application and if they are interested in my help.
This is seriously not good for my already fragile self esteem.
*sigh*
What I should do...is move to Utah and get a job at Best Friends Animal Society - Dogtown working with the puppies.
I just wanna help. And hang out with some furry kids. :(

Hotel for Dogs!
I went to see "Hotel for Dogs" yesterday with Debbie and Henry.
It was really cute.

Still no word
I have not heard from the Humane Society about volunteering.
They said 2 weeks.
