Should I have lied on my application to volunteer at the Humane Society and said that I was NOT allergic to animals?
I thought being honest about that would be okay, especially since I wrote that I am on medication.
It's been two weeks.
I've not heard ANYTHING from them.
I sent an e-mail a little bit ago to see if they got my application and if they are interested in my help.
This is seriously not good for my already fragile self esteem.
*sigh*
What I should do...is move to Utah and get a job at Best Friends Animal Society - Dogtown working with the puppies.
I just wanna help. And hang out with some furry kids. :(

I think you need to give them a couple extra days and not worry too much about it. If you haven't heard anything by the end of day on Thursday or Friday, than call the Volunteer Coordinator over the weekend.
There could be a lot of reasons for them not getting back to you right away, and it doesn't necessarily mean that they don't need/want you as a volunteer.
I agree with Germaine they may just be really busy right now. I can't imagine they wouldn't need your help though! Hang in there!!!
I broke the elliptical machine last week, it was not good for my self esteem so I totally can relate!!! I mean how can you break a piece of exercise equipment......:(
