On Wednesday night I went in for my training at the Humane Society on becoming a volunteer dog walker on Sundays.
I was gonna start walking dogs this Sunday, but found out last night that they need my help with the cats this weekend, so I will start with the dogs NEXT Sunday. Each week I will alternate from hanging with the cats and the dogs. I've enjoyed my year with the cats and did not want to give up on them completely. In an ideal world I would do BOTH on Sunday, but that is too much time away from my own poodle Sabrina (would be 6 hours every Sunday if I were to do both and since I work full time, it wouldn't be fair to Sabrina to be gone most of the afternoon on Sundays too!)
The night I was there for my training the Humane Society was also doing some puppy obedience training classes and an older couple was there with their new "baby": a 8 month old white minature poodle puppy named Sophie.
She looked sooooooooooo much like my Phoebe did when she was a baby. My heart melted. They were a very nice couple and let me pet their Sophie, who was the sweetest thing.
I would give anything for a white poodle in my life again. There is a hole in my heart that only a white poodle will fill. One day I will get another one. Now it is not possible. Not with where I'm living and not with the spoiled brat "I love being an only child" poodle named Sabrina around. She would not tolerate a new puppy in her life!

I know you weren't thrilled with helping with the cats at first. See, those little fur balls grow on you. Glad you get to be with the dogs though.
