I'm hoping and praying for an early spring. December was all about the snow and now it's all about the bitter cold. Hopefully the rest of this month and all of February will go by quickly!
I've had a good 2011 so far. Two weeks ago I went out West to visit my brother and his family. My first time out there. It's gorgeous there by the mountains!
My new job has been going well, though I'm dealing with the same issues I always deal with, ya know, the "not wanting to be around humans" which is impossible if I want to hold a job. The actual work I do at my new job I REALLY love. I feel very lucky to be there and just need to get over my "not wanting to be around humans" thing on my own :)
My tattoo has healed nicely. Wondering if I will get anymore this year or not? Too soon to know for sure.
Learned some good news today. The Blockbuster Video I helped open back in 1992 is closing it's doors. Why is that good news? Ohhhh the memories and most of them were not good. Though I have no regrets about what came about from my Blockbuster Days because if they hadn't happened I never would have gotten Phoebe & Sabrina, but back in 2003 when I moved back home with my parents so I could go to school I needed a part time job. I had quit working at Blockbuster back in 1994 'cuz I felt I was doing the work of an assistant manager, but they refused to give me the title (I was just a step below that as a lead supervisor). Anyway, so here it is, 2003, and I needed a part time job 'cuz some of my classes were during the day and the temp job I was doing required me to work during the day. I filled out the application and waited a few days. I went back and the manager told me "You didn't make it past that first hurdle", whatever the heck that means. Since that day I have not set foot in that store, nor will I give Blockbuster my money. If anything I was over qualified for a part time job at Blockbuster Video. I knew then and still know now, more about meaningless movie crap that would have helped lots of customers, like it did from 1990 - 1994 when I worked at Showtime Video and then Blockbuster Video.
Anyway, I'm glad they are going out of business. WAY TO GO NETFLIX!
Well, I'm babbling.
Good night.
Sabrina staying warm:
