Sabrina has had a rough day. She's had diarrhea since yesterday, but I didn't think much of it 'cuz that has happened many times before....that was until I noticed blood. I immediately took her to the Animal ER. They were concerned that with her symptoms she had developed pancreatitis so ran some tests. Took about an hour to get the results (felt longer than an hour though) and she does NOT have pancreatitis, but has a bladder infection and colitis. She was also dehydrated. They gave her some fluids and some meds and we were able to go home. She's been sleeping since.
When the vet said the word pancreatitis it took every ounce of energy for me to not totally freak out. That is what Phoebe had developed when she passed away in 2008. I know that Sabrina is getting old, she is almost 13, but I'm not ready to let her go. Not for a very very very long time.
She is going to be fine. I'm certain of that. :o)

I'm so sorry, that must have been so scary. I'm glad she is resting and I'm sure she'll feel better soon. ((hugs)) for you both
