Volunteering May 1st

Yesterday I was very excited to find out that I will be volunteering on May 1st for the Animal Humane Society's annual "Walk for the Animals"

I received my assignment for the day. I will be working in the Honor/Memorial Tent helping those who have signed up for the walk to dedicate their walk to a lost loved one.

I think with my experience of losing my poodle Phoebe in 2008 this is a perfect spot for me. I don't believe it will be too hard for me. I volunteer at the Humane Society every Sunday and each week I listen to people talk about the loss of a beloved pet. For me, it's a great excuse to talk about Phoebe. I LOVE to talk about Phoebe. I miss her with all my heart, but I feel nothing but pure joy when I talk about her and remember my life with her.
